Hey guys, I got a screw in my rear tire.  Does anyone know a shop that does tire plugging in the area?  Or am I crazy for not just buying a new rear tire.

Ducati NYC doesn't do it for liability reasons.

Given the performance nature of your bike, I would err towards buying a new tire.
If you do patch it, remember to also get it re-balanced, otherwise you may get some unwanted vibrations.

autozone. $10 dollar kit.

plug it yourself. i dont balance my tires, and one of them even had over 4 plugs in them and lasted 20,000 miles.

i would never  buy a new tire because of a nail. not unless it was unpatchable for some reason.

Viability of repairing a motorcycle tire is a very debatable issue and varies not only from shop to shop , but from tire manufacturer to tire manufacturer.  Whether a puncture can be repaired or not depends on nature of the puncture, location and tire wear.  If the tire is repairable, the repair should be done from the inside with a mushroom patch (kind of a combination of plug and patch).  The speed rating of the tire is also diminished.  If you are paying a shop to do the repair at NYC labor rates and you have mileage on the tire you may find the repair is not worth it.

If the tire is repairable I am fairly sure these guys will do it.

You can save some money by bringing them the wheel without the bike.
