He borrowed money from a friend to buy it, insured it at twice the cost, drove it into the salt marsh (claims to avoid invisible pelican) and leaves the car running in the marsh for 15 min until the engine is ruined.

Since there's no pelicans or signs of sudden direction changes in the video of the whole freaking thing, nor any skidmarks his insurers are not pleased

Sure seems to me that this idiot would have done the scam with no one else around.
