wisdom teeth, to pull now or to pull later?

So my wisdom teeth all popped through the gums and the top part is exposed. they are partially impacted as they point towards my molar, but they are not resting on it.

it used to cause a lot of pain in my gums, but since that part of my gums has fallen off and probably eaten along with my food, theres not much issue except later in the future.

so do i suffer the pain now, even though they cause no issues with me? or do i wait till later in life, if it causes pain with me?

the only thing that is bothersome now is that i have to spend an extra 2-3 minutes making sure i clean my wisdom teeth so i dont get trapped food there cause it stinks my breath!

i do feel like my lower jaw doenst liek to sit where it used to. i have to  pull my lower jaw back  for my teeth to fall into the their natural position. i think thats caused by the  teeth pushing on my jaw. thats about the only reason i have for pulling them now.

I'd say the first chance you get, have em ripped out.  If they are gonna hit sometime in the future, you might as well be laid-up at a time most convenient to you as opposed to when things do start hurting (say in the middle of good riding season).

Just based on your thread title:   LATER!   (more reason why when I'm on 'puter & not hen pecking on phone.  Just don't book it tonight, I beg of you.)

As was said: Now, on your schedule. Give yourself a week to be laid up if need be. I've had friends at work the same day and fine and some that were out for a week and uncomfortable most of that week.

Do it yesterday!! I kept putting mine off and shit got way out of hand. Do it now before it becomes urgent. Nothing worse than being in horrible pain and it's a 2 week wait to see your dentist just to get a referral to see an oral surgeon who has a 4-6 week wait.

Had mine done on a Fri, was fine the next day. Back to work Mon. Dry socket was a whole other story though.

To those advocating "now":
It's HeMan, what could possibly go wrong?  ;D

are you sure they'll ever have to come out? I get to keep mine.

Pay with cash, no credit card for you.

Pull them now and suck the gas like a bong before they deaden you.   I chose no sleep option so I could enjoy the gas  [evil]

Do it immediately if not sooner.  Had mine pulled in boot camp and was probably the best decision I made.  My pillow looked like a mob hit for the first three days after the surgery, but it was worth it.

when i first went to the dentist they said i should take it out however a nerve was right next to it, so they recommended me to an oral surgeon instead. said it might be compliated if they hit a nerve since my face would go numb. not looking forward to that. lol

Mine came in when I was 16(!) and got pulled out when I was 46 (last year)

It wasn't a big deal and I don't miss them. YMMV, but my take is you might as well just get rid of them.

And don't let them talk you into caps on any back teeth. Just get rid of them.

If I were you, I wouldn't pull 'em now.

Wait 'til you get to a dentist.

I got 4 pulled at the same time due to how badly impacted they were...

Just dont expect anything to taste good for weeks after due to the taste of the healing socket/medicine in the socket... and dont expect to talk to anyone you would want to sleep with you in the near future.  The breath... it's going to be bad.  haha.

But yeah, like everyone else says, get em pulled as soon as you can.  Leaving it off will only let it get worse.

Do it yesterday.  I had mine taken out when I was in the 6th grade and played a trumpet trio in front of the school assembly that night.  Swollen cheeks and everything.  Our band director pointed this out and commented how brave and amazing I was for even attempting to play the trumpet that night.  I don't know what my mom was thinking for scheduling it on the same day as my band performance.  She must have known way back then that I was a tough mutha.  I've also had a cavity filled and a fake tooth put in on a tooth nub without anesthesia.  True stories.

This is HeMan we're talking about, something is going to go wrong and he'll wake up to find the dentist screwed up and gave him a mouthful of horse teeth or something.
