We had a hard enough time deciding on just one name.

I wanted to go with "Biff"

She absolutely did not

So I named my dog Biff

In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't... really REALLY glad

We've decided not to find out the sex ahead of time, and the arrival date is May 17th 2012.

Congrats!!

BTW..

MAKE SURE YOU TELL EVERYONE that you do NOT want to know because they do NOT pay attention.

Post it on the doors when you are in the room for every doctor visit, 4-D sono, the delivery room, etc.!!

For a boy I was thinking about Fabio Taglioni and a for a girl Marianna Panigale, but I think the misses is not going to go for it.
;)

Yeah IZ we made sure at the first ultrasound to let them know we weren't going to find out and the lady wrote SURPRISE in big red letters across the front of our chart.
Since we've been trying so long and it happened as a total surprise, we wanted to not know until the delivery. Either way you can't change what you're getting, the only advantage is having a name and painting the nursery.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

It was great meeting "The Dude" at long last.   She brought us some epic beer.

Any of you new parent types do the Umbilical Cord Blood Banking thing?

My wife read a pamphlet or something about it...  I'm not convinced...

Experiences? Thoughts?

We didn't do it either.

...and congrats!

Well... I thought she was going to come on time.  She's got 4 hours to show her bright, shiny, wrinkled up face if she's to come on her due date.

And to think... I was hoping she'd arrive before new years.  [coffee]

EDIT:
Huzzah! 6lbs 14oz. Right on the due date!

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
