Dawm! I just lost the deal.  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

My fried sold the Senna to another one that gave him more cash back than what I offered.  [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang]

Hope that this has happend to my best.

I told him, if one day he buys a 1098 Tricolore and wants to sell it, to talk to me first before closing the deal with anyone!!!  ;D

But I am still in love with my baby S2R1K. And the money I would spend on the Senna, is going to make my beautiful baby more beautiful and exclusive!!! [thumbsup]  [moto]
Thanks for your opinions on this thread!

Hey man, whats up? pm'ed you regarding trip to Brazil.

Toys are unbelivebly expensive here. Everything like that are at least the double of the price in US. This one costed to the new owner a 2008 Multistrada 1100 plus US$ 5.000 in our currency.
Considering that here a Multistrada costs around US$ 31.000, this Senna was sold for US$ 36.000.  :o :o :o

A new MV F4 Senna costs around US$ 87.000.  :o :o :o (but not too many are sold)

The 999 Xerox has list price of  US$75.000  :o :o :o (a few was sold)

The Desmosedici has the list price of US$ 120.000.  (I ve heard two are sold, waiting for delievery)

But of course not everything is like that. Food is cheap. Sun and beach are for free, and pretty girls are included in the package.  [cheeky]

I like the better sitting position of the monster and like to ride 300km (200miles) on saturdays.
Once you get used to the riding position, 200 miles isn't a problem. I often ride 300-400 miles of twisty roads in a day without too much problem on my 748 with stock ergos (no bar risers).

Have the rockers been replaced?
I know the 1995 bikes are supposed to be immune and have heard that some '96 bikes are also. it was around '96 IIRC when Ducati started farming out the chrome plating to a different vendor.

Two thousand miles you'll need a (more expensive) 4v service.
And belts.

And then you have the rocker issue.
if you do the service yourself, the 4V service can be fairly inexpensive and that year 916 has Bucci belts available at a low price through places such as www.ca-cycleworks.com

the rocker issue really isn't a deal breaker since ducati dropped their prices and practically give them away now.
The price break on the rockers was only in the USA. Due to so many claims, they dropped the price to $45 each and quit exchanging them on warranty. Last spring, Ducati raised the prices fo the rockers back to $26-$280 EACH and have stated that there will no longer be any good-will exchanges because the bikes are too old. Most people go with Megacycle rockers, which tend to be around $79-$89 per rocker for a replate.

Ride it a little bit in the city too, see if you enjoy the bike enough to deal with that.
They're not so friendly in heavy, slow traffic.
My 748 will hit 200-degrees F in no time.....but so will my ST2, and the wife's R1, and.....On a really hot day in the mountain twisties and getting it's neck wrung out, my 748 will go over 200 degrees even it going 40 mph behind slow traffic. I don't think any liquid-cooled bike really likes being in traffic........most air-cooled bikes don't really have temp gauges or indicators to let you know if they are hot or not.

Dawm! I just lost the deal.
Probably not really a bad thing......something even better may come along later.  ;)
