Hi Again
Any difference between buying a custom Full Exhaust V Production run ones?
Custom as in we walk in to a exhaust shop & they Cut & bend one for your bike.

The cut and bend one might not be optimum for your bike unless it has been run and tested etc. Generally a production type has been tested and sorted by the time it hits the shelves for sale. ???

Custom Zorsts usually equal BIG BUCKS as they are one offs. :o

hey Rick,

I don't think there's much difference, between production and custom exhausts (performance improvments would be similar) price is in the same ball park as well, I guess it come down to having something a bit different I got mine done @ MADAZ in melbourne (nice guys, good work) I got the pipes, new air filter, PCIII and dyno'ed for less than termi pipes, I very happy with them.

......... I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and I am what some people call mentally retarded.

unless you can get reccomendations from a few who have used the services of a custom shop and they're very happy, like wraith, i would steer clear of the unknown and buy a proven product.
nice set up wraith! [thumbsup]

Rickoz, I also went the custom exhaust route on my S2R800. The idea of something a little different was one of the primary drivers. Also the most economical way of buying a production set was from overseas and I didn't really want that hassle - buying, shipping, customs and then having to worry about the install (because I am useless). Mind you if I hadn't found a custom shop that was local things could have been different.

I had a bit of an idea of what I wanted (although Jukie will disagree) which was similar to some production systems but still not the same. Unfortunately the shape of my 'unique, one-of-a-kind' exhausts is similar to the new 696 Termis (grumble, grumble).

The guy that made them has been building bike exhausts for decades so figured it was a good option and I wouldn't have to worry about any minor fit issues .... and we have now had the same guy build a set of cans for Jukie's bike which are completely different to mine.
