The handguards are from the Multistrada. Perfect for winter, but, too hot for summer hence the holes. When its cold or wet, I cover the holes with a piece of vinyl tape.

There's 3 sections of dirt on the Bonang. The first bit of dirt is fairly compacted, the second where we stopped for photos is really loose gravel. The third section is sandy. So you get a bit of everything.

Thanks ecster.  I will put that one on the list of possibilites for the next time I feel like going for a little ride.

Nah  Multi me has for now been out cast, he's difficult to put up with ...... Multi this Multi that ,gets to me after a while  

Paul Smart me is as weak as piss cant even get past Bald Hill  on a ride  

Monster me is still in therapy for of loading it .

It's about time I posted a pic.  Back when she was new (and clean!).  No real mods yet though.  I'd love a tail chop but don't want to break the law.  I might get Rizoma LED indicators at some point.  Will I be blasted for saying that I like the stock exhausts and mirrors?

Mirrors I'd say yep, they aren't really pretty IMO
Exhaust, well if you core them so the bike has some real sound sure.
I wouldn't be worried about putting a tail tidy on your bike, it's nothing like chopping the frame on the original Monsters.

Not at all.  I've got the stock exhaust on my 695.  I'd like to change it at some point, but it's a fair way down the list.  One of the important factors for me is that I live in a flat, and I don't want my neighbors to hate me.

What I really need to do is have a listen to different exhausts (arrow, termi etc) with the baffles in to see what they sound like.

my baffles are in all the time, they are called ear plugs.

ditto, baffles are like the bolts that are always left over when you by something from ikea. they dont really matter!
