Le Tourment Vert, 1:3 parts with ice water: my first encounter with the Green Fairy (my brush with a raki in a Turkish restaurant doesn't count, it didn't contain wormwood); been wanting to try it for years (they legalized absinthe spirits in the US in 2007).



"Le cout de la lucidite inspiree" is molded into the bottom of the bottle, whatever the MTBWTB that means....


On-line reviews say there are far better variants, but this is not bad and on sale at Goody Goody for $37.
Guess it's time to put Moulin Rouge on the DVD player....

My absinthe journey began in Prague in 1996...  i actually watched a guy I was slamming absinthe with fall out of a three story bathroom window, and he was fine.  He looked pretty ragged when I saw him and his cousin on the Charles Bridge the next morning though...

I like the Raki also, especially watching the ice cube cloud the clear liquid...

Right now, though, I'm sitting in @#$%@! fort worth waiting for the rain to stop, and drinking #$%!#$% herbal tea.
