Ahhh, shouldn't someone tell AMS that the used 999 on their website isn't a 2005 model?

Let's bypass "Death by Committee" and select you for the mission.   [thumbsup] [laugh]

Early model swingarm and the "jack-o-lantern" cut outs on the upper front fairing. Doesn't look like my 2005 999 at all. [roll]

No, just like to window shop. Like looking at ebay motors in the Ducati section. One reason is to see all the cool bikes and the other reason is to see the horrible things people do to beautiful machinery. Jeez, some mods are just awful! Usually it's the chrome Marchesini wheels and the "custom" flame paint jobs that make me want to hurl the worst. What were they thinking? It's like rubber necking at a bad wreck... you just have to look. I love reading the descriptions too. Some of them crack me up they are so corny. Some others have no clue. The bikes look good in the pics but after reading what the owners say I wouldn't take the bike if they gave it away free! Oh well, everyone has their own taste.

Just stopped by AMS/Dallas since I was in the neighborhood and they said it's just a typo on their website just like I knew it was. The bike is an '04 and it does look very clean. Had one of the two used Xerox/R models there also. I am surprised they have been around as long as they have been. I think they even lowered the price on one. Figured collector types would have snatched those up, they have them priced right.

The real eye candy were the two Desmosedicis. Scott fired up one for a couple of customers. Sweeeeeet. Awesome noise. They said there may be as many as 10 of those at the track day in October. May have to ride out to Cresson just to see that. How often are you going to get to see 10 Desmos at the same time humping around a racetrack? [thumbsup]
