Wha Ducati model is this, and is it worth $1500

I would likely pick this up as either a restore & sell or as a commuter if it was worth the money.

Not worth it my opinion. For $1500 I bet you could find a good working old Honda, Yamaha, etc. that works better to begin with and you can find parts for them. Even if fully restored I doubt that model would be worth much. The bevel drive twins and singles are much more sought after.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Thanks!  The '81 Honda 750 for $975 I found is probably a much better bet for clean & resale then ~

I agree especially if you're looking to clean something up and turn it over. Very limited audience for that duc.
