S4 radiator hose blew

SO about a month ago the vertical hose on my S4 cracked and/or lost sealing capabilities just south of the OEM murderously tight clamp, thus dispensing coolant all over my boots and legs, further distributing embarrassment as I sat in traffic in downtown San Diego.

First thought was to order one from Ducati, which was what I did. A buddy of mine told me to just go to Autozone but I went to Carquest instead (closer) where a cool ass lad cut a nice piece for me for and handed it off for free.

The Ducati OEM piece cost $6 and since the order had a  mishap, I cancelled and stuck with the CQ piece.

Since the motor has 23k miles I thought I'd just replace all the hoses (service recommends every 5 years).

After searching the net I found the cheapest set of silicone SAMCO hoses including the stainless steel clamps on ebay from the UK. $189.60 shipped to my door.

I can't wait until they come in! Update later.

does that kit from the uk include a russian mail order bride?  this is rubber coolant hose we are talking about right?

It sounds like the Samco silicone hose set.
I have installed quite a few of these and they are very nice, well made and trick looking for a hose.

look the kit over well when you get it they are known for missing hoses or sending the wrong hose.
Still worth the investment.
cheers

My mistake. I meant to write SAMCO. You know anything that goes wrong with the Ducatis you don;t replace them with OEM. Upgrade mang!
