Just got my 08' S4rs on saturday!!!! Best/Most Fun Bike i have ever ridden. I bought it used so it already has a full Termi exhaust and ECu upgrade, Open clutch cover, red pressure plate, and CRG levers. The next thing that i want to do is get rid of the ugly plastic tail end. I looked into chopping it all off but for some reason i cant come to terms with cutting off the end of the frame. I know i can just get rid of the plastic and get a carbon fiber part for it instead and integrate the blinkers into the break light. What do you think i should do? Are there any options that i don't know of yet? Also is there anything else that anyone knows of to do to the bike thats not too over the top?

You won't find many folks around these parts that haven't chopped.  Me?  I half chopped!  [thumbsup]

Just chop it... but do it very, very neatly... and keep everything. You can always put it back together later on if you are so inclined.

I can't bring myself to taking a hack saw to mine either. I don't really think they look all that bad with the beer tray.

This thread should have read "Where can I purchase a smaller beer tray."   ;)

I couldn't chop mine either. Just get a plate bracket (or make one). Getting rid of the big plastic hang-down thingie makes a big difference

I am a no chop man...hate the swamp-ass.  I went the MadDoc route.  I'd post a pic, but I don't know how to black out my license plate.

OwnyTony

I have mine chopped but I bought mine used.  If i had a say, I would buy a short beer tray.

i think im jsut going to go the less radical route and get a cf tail piece and integrate the blinkers into the tail light. Ill get some pics up when its done and as soon as i figure out how to upload pics haha.

If you can fit more than a beer on there, chop it.
However, if you can fit multiple cans of beer and maybe a Big Gulp (do they still sell those?), then you might want to rig it so it can be replaced as desired.
I wonder if you could fit a small pizza box on there too?
