She needs to get on her Meds. That is an obvious sign of mental illness.  :'(

A guy at work said that looked like his old house, I need a new job.  [puke]

When I was an EMT in Commerce City we got called to a house that looked like that. Except, no mattress on the bed, just blankets on the springs. A non-mentally ill couple lived there, although it's unclear the extent to which drugs and alcohol may have played a role. That kind of scene is not un-typical for that area. It appears that some folks are just socialized to live like that.  :-\

The call was originally a domestic, but the cops decided that it was mutual combat, so no arrests. The female ran off to her mother-in-law's house, while the male was found sitting on the floor in the living room. He was wearing only a pair of running shorts, hugging his knees and rocking back and forth, and refused to say anything. Also, and likely unrelated to the original call, a large meat cleaver was buried about 8 inches into the wall at about head height in the living room.

I'm glad I don't have that job any more.

I still can't get over that. I see that "How clean is your house" show on BBC and can't believe there's enough people that live like that to warrant several seasons of a TV series.

Have some pride people and take the damn trash out.

Thanks. I no longer feel that my house is dirty.

with 2 dogs and 2 cats hair balls in the corners no matter how often i vaccuum and mail on the counter makes me think my house is a mess. Not any more

I've been on a couple of calls that were as bad as that.

I think it's funny that the guy had a ironing board and iron out. He cared if his clothes had wrinkles? :)

+1 I went on a cardiac call once where the woman had so much crap in her single wide that we had to remove the window. (one of only two calls that i got dry heaves on....she had pork rinds in her bed and ground into her skin)
If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.

Now that you mention it, I went on a couple calls that were close to this bad. Only one that was worse. A sewer line had broke in the basement, they just kept using the toilets. That call actually lead to that house being condemned.  [puke]

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
