Which helmet design would you pick?

Well, looks like I'm in the market for another helmet after my friend's nieces and nephews decided to use my helmet as a rolling ball :-\ while we were in the back enjoying a BBQ. The kids roll it off the couch and then bring it back up to roll it off again and again... They aren't old enough to know better, 4 to 6 years of age.

Now that I no longer have confident on this helmet I have a great excuse for myself to get a new one. I am set on the Shoei RF-1000 series but undecided on which of the three design. Ok, I am actually torn between the three. So i decided to let you all chip in on the decision. Which one of the three should I get?

By the way, I have a pearl white monster but color coordination isn't a major factor.
Thanks for your input [popcorn]

2009 Shoei RF-1000 Camino TC-6

Shoei RF-1000 Diabolic TC-5

Shoei RF-1000 Diabolic 3 TC-5

the diabolic "heaven and hell" design is the way to go.  definitly something you don't see everyone wearing.  i have seen a couple people wearing the diabolic 3 the all grey/color change one.

i bought the diablic 3 the one with the color chanign in it, nice helmet didnt' fit me right, wish they made thatin the x-11.

shoei definitely puts there best designs in the rf-1000 helmets, the x-11 helmest have replicas but not the coolest designs by far.

good luck.

Camino!  [thumbsup]  Classic.  Not too busy.  From a distance, the others looks like smudges....

Is there a difference other than graphics?

The two TC-5s are exactly the same except for the graphics. The Camino(TC-6) is an 09 release. Shoei hasn't post it on their site so there's no known specs yet. From the picture it looks like there's no difference unless they modify the interiors. I got the scoop from a local shop that received their 09 catalog. Prices are the same.

Sbrguy, have you try changing your cheek pads? I found that the helmet comes with a standard size cheek pads. I wear a medium size helmet and it comes with size 35 cheek pads which squeezes my cheeks and made it a tight fit. The next size up proves to be too big so I had the store clerk change the pads to size 33 and it fits perfectly. I know for sure they also have size 31 but not sure if they have any other sizes. You might want to give that a try. Note: the cheek pads cost extra, roughly $20

Camino  [thumbsup]   The others are too "noisy".

Did you see the clip someone posted here, from Jay Leno's garage, with the helmet guy? Your helmet probably isn't damaged, but if you want to believe it is - I won't stop you getting a new helmet  8)
252,000 km/seventeen years - loving it

as far as graphics go, i'm liking the camino  [thumbsup]
i like the others too, but the camino is different.
let us know what you decide.

no i tried the helmet on even without the cheek pads in and the sizing just wasn't doing it for me regarding the shape of the interior at the crown, it wasn't really anything to do with the cheek pads.

thanks.

Yep, plus the episode where Jay took out his Desmosedici RR  [bacon] [bacon] [bacon]

;D It's a great excuse to get a new helmet isn't it?! If i have the dough I would buy all three and have them sitting is a tall glass case in my garage for my choosing. Then again I rather save, save, save and add another Duc to the stable (this means a long long time) :-\

The Camino is an 09 release and isn't available in store yet but can be order so I wasn't able to try one on. I did try on the TC-5s and they fit great. From the look of it the TC-6 is only a graphics change but I'll have to confirm it.

I'll will decide on Tuesday night. So far the verdict says Camino is the way to go

I just found a shot of the Camino from the rear

The rest of the 09 line up can be seen here

The Strife (used to be the Voyager) also looks nice

I'm on the bandwagon with the Camino. [thumbsup]

Now I'm off to let my kids play with my helmet. I never thought of that as a ligit excuse.  [beer]
