I'll do it for half the money.  [laugh]
And bring some two wheeled action in also.
Let's start a petition.

Vote Matty onto to Top Gear.

The small bloke (aka the 'Richard Hammond'), bloody hell he looks small behind the wheel, looks like he was driving his dad's car when in the merc....but how come when Hammond drives he looks normal? does ours sit to forward?

and the segues into the studie when Warren starts to talk about the review....very awkward.

good news.....ah......Oasis's new album is out and it's pretty good. (trying to be positive about something!)

I'd like to see the auditions to find out who didn't make the cut, but any suggestions on who could do a better job? Somone who know's his subject, a great interviewer, bit of a raconteur.
Wait....I've got it.....hmmmm....I wonder what Daryl Eastlake is doing these days.

And Peter Wherrett.................   .....................   ............................  OK so I'm showing my age ................ how sad  :-[

Well at least thats the two replacements (I actually missed last nights show)

Surely you don't think I was serious about daryl bloody eastlake, do me a favour, but seiously peter wherret, yep his show "torque" was probably about the best home grown car show we've ever had, (ABC of course).
How about wayne gardiner, knows his stuff, got personality, but SBS probably couldn't afford him.

Peter Wherret looked good in a dress.  ;)

Now, this would be interesting, Merrick Watts.  ;)

Loves his cars, owns a Multistrada, piss funny.  [thumbsup]

That I like the sound of.. Comedians who know their cars and bikes, who can talk about/review things funnily.

Not people who have media experience, and only think they're funny.
p2e.

Yeah, I'm still giving it a go, but its starting to hurt.

Beats American sit com crap, and any reality show, but thats not saying much. If you look at the early series of the UK show, it took a while to settle in, and the line up did change. Even the first series with the current three guys (Clarkson, Hammond and May) was pretty average.

Agree with the need to sort out the line up of the Aussie show and get some genuinely funny B'stards into the mix. Merrick is a great idea.

Wherret was only ever good for 'drag' racing and bolting mag wheels onto Sigmas. There, I said it. Someone had to. ;D

And Matty, you've got my vote too.

I think that W427 Holden is a bit of a wimp!
375 Keelowatts (in Steve speak) and $150k
All it can manage is 250klm/h on the oval.

Hell my little 620 is pushing 200+ at the Creek, and it's nowhere near $150k's worth of kit.

Gotta say though that lawn bowls caper was pretty funny, not quite as good or as much carnage as Toyota Igo football.
But still pretty sporting of Holden to allow many of there cars to be treated with little respect.

Yeah, a 'mate' of mine has a 620 sport that will do 210 km/h pretty easily ;). Having a fairing to tuck behind helps in top speed [thumbsup] umm...allegedly....

I think Holden are starting to see this show as a good marketing tool.  ???

Anyway, it wasn't bad last night. Charlie still gives me the shits, he can't interview to save his life.  [roll]
