In the spirit of getting back on that horse (thanks for all the encouragement NYMMC)...

This Sunday... riding. Who wants in?

DISCLAIMER:
Standard SOP applies -
- All skill levels are welcome but be prepared for some technical roads
- Full gear is not required but is very highly recommended
- Please make sure you are able to prove that you're legally able to operate your bike; "M" endorsement on you license, current reg & ins papers
- Speed limits and traffic laws will be obeyed EVERYWHERE unless I think it's appropriate to disregard any laws. In these cases you're encouraged to use your own judgement.

Not to scare people away or anything but... riders going down on my rides are becoming a regular occurrence and the crash percentage is getting higher and higher. I feel responsible in part but in reality, there's only so much I can do. I always try make sure that each and every person has fair warning about my road choice and pace. In the end, it's up to each rider to decide their pace and it's up to each rider to make sure that they DO NOT ride above their skill level in order to try to keep up. It's not a race and we don't get trophies at the end of the day. As most of you folks already know, I'll wait at each turn off or intersection for the group to reform before moving on. These rides aren't testosterone fests, they're just about having fun while trying to achieve smoothness with your bike.

All that being said...

You all know my steezz by now... Meeting up in the am, then heading to points north or west. The route isn't set yet but it'll be fun. Expect the stops to be at a minimum (although my bike is VERY thirsty), and expect to be home late. Slab will be at a minimum until the long, dark, and cold ride home.

If it would help any interested parties, I can email you the route (once I come with it) before the ride on Sunday so that there won't be any surprises.

Seriously now, these rides are fun - not scary at all. Who's in?

Hey All,

I need to man up & get in on this ride but need to clear up my Monday morning first; as is, I get to the office at 6am...  . What time you guys usually get back?

it depends. this ride i have a feeling will be a longer ride as i'm guessing we're gonna try to hit the roads we didn't last weekend. with that said, i'd expect to get back into the city ~11-2.

Come on man... so you might be a little tired when you get to work on Monday  ... ask us about the time we got home at 4:30am!  But seriously, I'm hoping that we won't get home too late - I'm either starting to feel the effects of my age, or I'm getting soft... in either case, I actually like getting home at a decent hour. The route isn't set yet so I'm not sure if we'll be venturing off to the same intended destination as last week. This being the case, I'm not sure where the jump off will be... pm me for further details if you're interested.

Above all else, just come along, I swear, Pat's gonna wear underwear this time...
