The Bacon Junkie

(also posted in SoCal Monsters)

My M750 had this really annoying habit of shutting down at speeds over 90mph.  One moment I'd have a big cheesy grin inside my helmet, and the next moment I'd be on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere hoping my buddies would notice I was missing.

Since I was overdue for a service anyway, I took it in to Nick (Speeddog)  at VDS.

I just want everyone on this board to know what a great experience I had.

He gave me a quote based on what I told him over the phone,  then a revised quote once he had the bike, plus options on what needed to be done, and what could wait.

He was very accomodating with a few situations that arose on my end,  and then when I wanted to have him install new bars that I ordered at the 11th hour,  he said "no problem" .

I was given updates, advice, and little tips and factoids that to a new rider such as myself are priceless.

If I wasn't sick and coughing up a lung when I picked up the bike on tuesday, I would have bought the man a beer.   [drink]

Took the bike out today for the first time since getting her back,  and she runs better than ever!

Thanks Nick!  [thumbsup]

I'll be back to get my forks done...   ;D

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

+1 on The Nick.  I've had him do a number of small installs on my s2r 1K (tires, mid-pipe, etc.), and just had him do my 7500 service.  All good results, very fast work, no schedule hassles and ZERO attitude (that alone makes going to Nick a far preferable experience to using one of the local dealers.)  He even CALLED ME the other night to see how the bike was running after he'd adjusted the valves and installed a set of cored pipes (which I brought in at the last minute.)  Could you imagine BH or Pro Italia doing that?
