Too Cold at 105 mph...

Froze my french baguette coming into work this morning. It's time I got into some real leather. Just wanting to know if anyone has an old pair of leather pants size 36 (don't really care what they look like) you want to sell? Post or PM me porfavor.

I think I might have a pair of bmw leather pants...  not sure about the knee armor, they are more "touring".  I'll take a look and give you a shout...

i don't recommend wearing leather, though, because it is murder.  I have this pair from the before times, when I was unenlightened....  I ride to work in the AM with lined textile pants, and ride through the whole winter...  no problemo, especially since I have slip on heated grips.  when it is totally ass cold, I throw in the chemical heated pad in my glove for some toastie goodness....  I suppose you could toss one of those "downtown", but I wouldn't recommend it

I remember seeing some leather overpants that were not crazy money at DennisKirk and also at newenough.com  (tourmaster brand).  Easy off, full monty style!

Actually Rich, you're right about going faster. As the wind speed increases around an object the drag coeficient increases and the air actually warms around that which the wind is passing. Friction with air also in my bike's instance creates a cavity behind the fairing resulting in increased heat on me. The wind chill at 60 mph (6.7 degrees f) is cooler than it is at 105 where it actually increases to around 10-11 f.

Well, I bought some ski pants last night at Academy and they worked pretty well! The golves didn't work so well. I will have to get some of those hand warmers but it's my fingers that suffer the most.

I've been very happy with a pair of Olympia kevlar mesh overpants with zip-out liner and knee & hip armor.  Inexpensive (MotoLiberty), machine washable, cool in summer and warm enough for Dallas in the winter and easy to put on/ take off.

Give 'em a look.  I think you'll like 'em.

Well, I can see that I'm going to have to buy two sets probably three. I need one suit for track days, one set for warm weather riding and another for those stylistic times when only leather will do. LoneStar Ducastisti is at an International level of style from my eyes. From Sir L'Blur, SuperDuke, Pipeliner, THE Bonwilder, Cher, Slag, TwoCats, Thelma(luv that white)LU and Barnee(a fifth)fife, Will, and Brian who looked so damn good in their leathers. As a newbie I'll get there. Thanks all for the input.
