What would you rather have, a $12,000 Monster or an $18-20,000 Monster and a free back protector?

Ducs are significantly cheaper here than in Europe.

Well, it's part of a European safety initiative, so that kinda explains the geographical limitation.  There was a suggestion at the World President's Meeting (when this program was unveiled) that DOC members who already bought a Ducati be allowed to purchase the backprotector at cost (plus shipping).  The suggestion was well received.  But even if that came to pass, I'm not sure it would apply outside Europe.

I just bought that back protector anyhow.
