I'll show up at Euro bout 5:45 or 6 to ogle - never been there.  I think the Cabana is north of 820, but that may not be the right one.  Red let me know. [coffee] or whomever knows. :)

Thnx Will!

It's the Taco Cabana on the southwest corner of 121 and Beach. Eurosport is just west of Beach off Riverside and 121. So, after Eurosport, you could ride the service road east until you reach Beach, and you'll see TC on the right before the intersection.

(BTW--There is another north of there on Beach and Western Center.)

Talk schmalk, I was busy eating cheap and tasty tacos, and a free bean and cheese taco, and some of CDC's quesadilla, and free salsa, cilantro, and limes with complementary water.

This is my kind of place! [bow_down]

Even had a patio to watch the bikes and second-hand smoke cigars. [beer]

Good times for sure. You know you're in good company when you're handed a beer the second you walk up.  [beer]

I have given this night a lot of thought. This was truely one of the best times I've had in ages. I don't say that because it was all fun and laughter. It wasn't. It was a night that gave to me a greater understanding of who is actually the backbone of this club and of society in general. The MEN who were there were there for a reason. We all got together on the assumption that we'd have some fast food, drink some, cajole and generally make merry. That all happened but I came away with a deep appreciation of who these men are in character that night I had not before felt.

If this sounds serious it is. Life is serious. We ride to make our lives more vibrant. likewise we hang around those who share our passion. The wonderful people in this club all have character and substance. For the most part, most of us that is, we have many things in common. Birds of feather type of thing. At the table we all felt that there were no judgemental attitudes around and let some of our feelings be known. Now, girls don't start thinking we were holding hands and passing tissues around. The conversation was fun and serious at the same time. From that time together I saw what makes these guys the type of guys I consider worthy of friendship. It's tough in this day and age to find like-minded thinking people. People who care. People who are concerned, considerate and have a high moral content. Not to say we're all saints at all but guys who have been down the road and have learned how to treat others with honor and respect.

That night some of the guys felt it ok to get some things off their chest and did so with the confidence details would not get out. Life has bumps and curves. It's the potholes that get us. When some approach a pothole to them there is no other way around and choose to go in deep. Those that do have a hard time getting out of the hole. Others know how to stear around those pitfalls and go on. The topics that were discussed at the tables (food and pool) were private and will stay that way. The way those who are dealing with their adversities was astounding to see. Meeting the potholes in life full face on is not pleasant. Seeing the logical, rational and patient way these guys at the table that night  handle it is very inspiring to me. I have to say that I am honored to be around you.

In general all the people in this group Westies and Easties alike are top line people. My wife said to me the other morning going to work that as an observer just coming into this group that she's never seen the type of associations and friendships that  binds us all together and get along so well. That said I too consider this group at the top of the food chain.

Within every group there are those who don't quite fit in and move on. To those who challenge the norm will come the fruits of that action. With those thoughts in mind I write. Tops on my mind are about the people in this group who take the time to care so much for others that they go out of their way to lend a helping hand  because that is their character. Sometimes all the gratitude they recieve is a sharp stick in the eye and a middle finger salute. Shame to those who act in such a way to them. Those in our group who put themselves out there for the benifit of others instead of thinking of themselves are what makes those people a treasure to be around. They are ones who are worth befriending. I could only hope to be like them. It also troubles me deeply to see them go through tragic times. I as a person want to help fix things for them. I guess as a Daddy and a husband I have that in mind. It is a great dissapointment to me when I'm not able to help them. To those who shall remain nameless I will be there for you if you ever call and need my service or the just some time to listen.
