what is this?

I think i know what it does but does anyone know an actual name or even better a part number the ducati shop near me didn't have any answers. it connects the rectifier to the starter? (i think) in the engine.

this is where it came from but i cant find in in any of the diagrams.

It connects the regulator to the stator, the alternator windings.  The burnt connection is on the stator side, right?  I would make a new one with better connectors, or do what many do, eliminate the connector and solder.  Also check the condition of the wires from the stator and cut back as needed.

ah stator ok. but no it plugs in to the regulator. the stator side looks fine. is there any chance to get just wireing harness withou haveing to replace the regulator too. baring of course the regulator isn't fried too.

I'm surprised the regulator side burnt.  I would still reccommend making you own since you will most likely have to special order it and the OEM part is a weak spot anyway.  A good auto parts store should be able to help with connectors.
