Anyone else going to Bikes in the Bottom on Sunday ~ 10 AM? At this point all three forecasts look dandy. I'll probably ride the T-100 in as I took the 796 last month.

It was certainly nice to finally meet you today and have a good chat! Use the e-mail on my card if you have any other questions. One of these days you'll have to play hooky and join ManoloEA and me for a ride out to Wintergreen. Given the forecast, I may do that next Thursday when the weather looks as nice as today's at this point. ManoloEA?

Good lad!  Did it run a lot smoother? Did it eliminate the noise you heard? Inquiring minds want to know!

not sure, after I spoke to you about the noise I didn't hear it on the way home.  You were probably right about it not being the chain but the last time I hear a sound like that was from the chain driven cams of a Honda...  Only got one chain now so that's where I started.  Still a mystery, hopefully it doesn't come back.

Since you said that it disappeared when you disengaged the clutch, that more or less eliminated the final drive in my feeble mind. More likely the clutch breaking in, since your miles are still low. Mine howled intermittently until ~ 1,200 miles. Different clutch than your EVO, but close enough maybe.

Ok... ok... I know, being the poster boy of dirty, failing chains is a big resopnsibility.  LOL.

I figure my absence would earn me at least a little bit of ribbing. 

In any case, hopefully I will have the Duc back soon. And will try to clear the calendar for Thursday. That IPA sounds really good right about now. Stay tuned, hopefully the weather will hold out.

Already the forecast is changing. As of tonight, Wednesday is looking better between the three major forecasts. See how they look after the rain passes tomorrow. I'm up for IPA alright!
