I was riding today and noticed that my Fuel light would come on and then off and then stay back on.  I filled up the gas tank so I know it's not the amount gas in the tank.  Also checked all the fuses.

The bike is older a 97 m750 with 29K miles on it.  Rode it and was wondering if that would be a sensor problem.  If it is, how much does one of these sensors run, also how super important is it, or could I just take the bulb out of the gauge.  This is my first bike and running into these kind of electrical gremilins.

Thanks for the help as always.

The fuel sensors were a problem on these bikes. Mine doesn't work either. I believe they're in the $100 range, but I haven't priced one recently.

You can unplug it under the tank and the light should go off and stay off.
