Bike: 99 M900 carbie
Part: Ignition module is what I think it is but I could be wrong. One of two small electronic boxes that are attached to the airbox and signal the coil that it's time to fire.

I think we've got a bad one so this is my last step before I roll Ducatista's carbie into the Potomac, rob a bank, and replace it with an 09 M1100.  ;D

...and they're not cheap.

There was a thread on TOB about a replacement set up made in CZ by ignitek.

ca-cycleworks was carrying them I believe.

Yep Ignitech makes an Ignition Module that replaces the 2 stock ones on your bike. We have had good feedback on them so far and have only one left in stock. We will be ordering more shortly. If you aren't sure that is the problem though I suggest giving Chris a call at 619-501-2466 today between 3-5p pacific standard time.

Oh God forbid I get over on something.  [laugh]

Candice, I'm going to borrow a module off Zoom's bike to see if that fixes the issue. If it does, I guess we'll give you guys some more money to go with these new dyna coils.  ;D

Make *absolutely* sure you've got solid battery connections.

A customer with a carbie 900 had loose connections from a half-assed battery install, and it murdered both of his igniters.

Nope, 1 OEM cost more than twice as much as a Ignitech TCI-P4 which replaces both OEM`s!

& comes w a standard setting for your bike. I had it f 2 years, still happy.

Well unfortunately this is not the issue so I'm done with it. We're taking it to the shop this weekend and letting them figure it out.

Ducatista

As it turned out, the fuel pump blew a membrane.  I did a rebuild during the ethanol issue diagnostics.  I guess that was a mistake!  It was basically just constantly flooding the cylinder.

I have my bike back now, and she runs well.  Hopefully this will be the last of the woes for awhile!

Thanks for everyone's help on this saga!
