hi guys im puttin everithing back in my ducati and right now im into the housin of the carburetor and air box i just need to know if one of u guys have a diagram how all this goes conected im confused with the triangular things on both sides . the right side have four holes an i just have 2 houses, things  like that, i cheked the fuel pump and is good, check the belts n timing and is good, i opened the carbs en i clean everything out and put new gaskets, so the only thing to see are the houses cause there were broken but, it should still pull, if still  the same problem im lost! a was going to put pictures in here but i dont understand this page can someon explain i looked into the help section but is very confusin. thanks

All three lines are vents, the two larger ones should have filters.  If they are missing, just go to a good auto parts store and get some that fit.  These were common on cars back in the '70s.  They go to the grey pods (triangular things) to avoid turbulence.  Many have removed the pods.  If you remove the pods, locate the hoses in an area where the air will be calm.

so if i cancel the lines (just put some kind of tampon on the breathers outlets of the carbs,)would it affect the performance, and i would like to remove the all the emission canister and housing cause my state doesnt require emission, i dont like to mess with things i dont need if u can gice me a hand ona that plis, i saw one of the links that one of the guys gave me the one that u put the k &n filters but i dind see what he did with the housing [bang]

Don`t cancel lines, just ditch the pods & route lines behind battery f e, no KN`s needed.

thank u for ur answer but did not help enough, my question was if i can remove all the emission housing that means(canister, housin comin out of the engine, the little box behind the vertical piston with the housin and the black box ) obiusly if a take everything off i have to replace it with k & n filters, so u told me that there is 3 housing breathers ?that would be the house that comes out of a "t" union of the carburetor and the two lines that are hooked up in both  golden color metal tube that comes out of the carburetor? so what houses i have to watch out for vacum leaks sorry for many question but im very frustraded thank u so much! i just bought the bike ten days ago and is broken [bang]

You are really getting things confused, and I think you need local help.  You should post on this board:

First step is to get the bike running.  The "canister" I think you are talking about is part of the crankcase ventilation system and is not part of your running problem.  First, you need to fix your fuel problem.
