Anyone ever heard of these? I saw them at a parking lot sale last weekend. The pivot joint is 2-way so that the lever can swing out (away from the bars). I'm not sure that I believe this would make them unbreakable though. They look nice enough though.

the levers are good....but they dont have the tab to operate the clutch switch on 03+ bikes  with square reservoirs.
if you have one of those...look at other brands

yeah for about the last 6 months they've been telling me "they'll be ready next month."

Frustrating.  How hard is it to machine a little tab on the bottom of the lever?  Granted, I'm not a machinist or an engineer, so maybe it is difficult.

Not hard ... just expensive.  A billet of aluminum 2x as thick costs 2.5x as much.  And with a machined part, most of that aluminum is just thrown away if all you are adding is a little tab on the bottom of the part.

I called ASV and they sent out the part right away.  It was for my 07 S2R1000.

I've been hearing that for almost 2 years  [roll]
if you need the tab (and havent bought them yet) get CRG or Pazzo
maybe PM user pnut, he made an adapter for the older CRGs maybe you could adapt it to the ASV

send jeff at monsterparts a PM.  I thought he posted on TOB that the ASV levers included the tab on the levers he sells.

NOOOOB  ;D

Sorry, I had to  [thumbsup]

The tab is a tab on the underside of the clutch lever. It pushes a small switch when the lever is pulled, enables you to start the bike without finding neutral - as long as the clutch is pulled. Bike stalls in traffic, pull clutch, push starter button, GO. Safer and not so embarrassing.
CRGs has it, Pazzo probably does, ASV maybe not.

Here's the post and reply I referred to.

Quote"The little mod piece we sell is made by pnut
It adds the little tab to work the clutch switch on the CRGs.

another option is these new levers by ASV-
they have the tab built-in

they are a little more expensive than the CRGs, but we will be selling them for the same price as an introductory special

(they are in stock...will try to get them entered in the store later today 8))

monsterparts"

since jeff h posted already here with updated information regarding ASV you might hit him up about pnut's part since it is no longer listed on monsterparts.  I used it with CRGs and it worked very well.  I bought mine directly from pnut when he first made them but I don't know if he is active still on TOB or migrated here or not.

cheers

I thought I read here that someone had CRGs that came with the tab.. the pnut piece or the CRG mod piece were no longer needed.

i just wish CRG had the folding ones with the tab.  Last I checked they didn't.  I really prefer the ASVs but well.. if they don't work...  a lost sale I guess.

Correct. At least for my coffin style master it was available with the tab almost a year ago.

re- cowboys post-
I was wrong.
( :o I know...  [laugh])
they supposed to, but never did get the tab on them.

the CRG's however now do have the tab integrated (part # for the new one is AB-611)
(i think the pazzos do too...but no FHE on those)
