Space Shuttle Lands In Fort Worth The Endeavour lands at NAS JRB Fort Worth

The space shuttle endeavour will fly into Fort Worth's NAS JRB for an overnight stop.

The space shuttle Endeavour is heading home with a stopover planned in Fort Worth.

The shuttle took off from Edwards Air Force Base early Wednesday, riding piggyback on top of a modified jumbo jet.

Endeavour is expected to land at NAS JRB Fort Worth around 3:15 this afternoon.

This is the first time since 1997 that NAS JRB has been used as a landing site for the shuttle as it makes its way back to NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Poor weather conditions along the original route forced planners to adjust their flight plan adding a stopover in Fort Worth.

The shuttle will remain on base overnight and is scheduled to take off on a sunrise launch Thursday morning.

Awesome pictures!!  I can't imagine how much better they'd be if taken from a completed deck. Nice job getting the US flag in the shot.

Funny you mention that. I was thinking the same thing as I fell off of it.

Sorry for the image quality. There was a haze, the sun was right behind me, and it was a long way away. I know; excuses, excuses  [bang]

...uphill both ways.  [laugh]

What we really want to see is the one of the sky, taken just as you were going horizontal during your fall off the deck.  ;D

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.
