As most of you guys and gals know, I'm doing the same charity fund raising (Team in Training for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society)as William.

This is just a feeler to see if there's interest just inside this group for a poker night for charity in January.

Low buy in and a nice prize for whoever takes all the chips at the end of the night.

I figure it's a good excuse to get together, drink, have a cigar or two and play some cards.

um, isn't that what you do in texas hold 'em?  never played much of it.... but i can try to save up some pennies and play, if i can bring a reference sheet to remember what hands are better than others....

   If this lands on a day when I am available ( pretty busy ) we could use my studio for this.    It's no "warehome" but it does have HEAT, lights, & a couple of bathrooms !     Very close to AMS Dallas where Oak Lawn dead ends into the river.

Sounds like McKraut is already bluffing

Here are my preliminary thoughts.

I'd like to try and fill out 2 tables (16 players, any more and it will probably be a really long night) so I can justify buying new chip sets

I'm thinking tourney style play with increasing blinds on a timer.  Buy-in will be TBA donation to TNT.

Start w/ $800-1000 chips or so and play until you win/lose them all. 

Winner gets a nice prize

most clubs on NW hwy allow both...... You can also try some up-scale, compared to NW hwy, like Republic and so forth off of McKinney.
