Just picked up another SV for the track.  Don't know what it is about these bikes but I truly love the little SV.  Maybe because it's a twin (like the Monster) or a cult bike (also like the Monster).  But this is the 3rd one I've owned.  Bang for the buck they can't be beat.....

The forks have Rach Tech cartridge emulators, stiffer springs, and heavier oil in them.  The rear end has a fully adjustable shock from a Yamaha in the rear.  For braking it's got braided front lines with EBC pads.  Other than that it's just got rearsets, a damper, and lower clipons.  Basic SV mods most people do.

The biggest issue with the SV is the suspension.  Soft damper rod forks with a soft non-adjustable rear shock.  You can sort the whole suspension for less than $500.  On my last bike I got the Traxxion damper rod kit for $250 which includes new rods and emulators.  New springs and oil were $120.  And I got a brand new GSXR 1000 rear shock off Ebay for $70.  So for about $450 I got the suspension sorted out.  It's really a cheap bike to work on.

You know it's not a color I'd pick for myself.  But it's growing on me.
