Ducati is having some interesting experiences with these roto-molded tanks as of late -- some with the Monster lineup, but you should read what is happening with the Sport Classic folks and their fuel tanks.

I might be intrested in your rippled tank for my race bike as long as it sits on the frame right and the only defect is cosmetic.  F-r's gonna hit the ground eventually anyways, cosmetics really don't matter to me.  PM me if you want to sell for cheep.

I had mine replaced under warranty ( thanks to the forum for the heads up)... Dealer told me cosmetic issues were  taken care of under standard warranty- but the extended warranty did NOT cover cosmetic issues (?).. Not sure why.

Dealer even took photos of the tank ( bubbling on the right side of the tank) and fwd'd them to DNA before they got approval for warranty replacement

Decided to not worry about it for now. Since theres no clear coat, you really cant see it unless its in the right light.
