I always like this annual New year’s Day ride out to Tortilla Flat.  Even though it’s more of a cruise due to all of the traffic, I love checking out all the unique bikes that make it out.

We met up at the coffee shop at Joe’s Farm Grill, which is excellent if not just for its “Scooter Parking Only” and Italian themed shop.

The road out to Tortilla Flat is a real mess, crumbling away from all the use I suppose.  We took it easy, and arrived to find the gathering of bikes:

A few of us fjorded the water crossings and made our way to the upper section of road, which is a must do in my opinion if you’re already out there.

One last stop at a favorite place to eat once back in town:

Thanks to everyone who came out!

Sweet pics. It was a good day. Can't wait to do some more riding. Was Rule doing the robot in that pic after the rotary Norton?

So cool.  Sure miss being in Phoenix.

Hey, does that Norton Wankel engine have two rotors, or is it just a dual plug "head"?

Anyone know?

Heard a company is trying to resurrect Norton based on that engine.

Nice work Dave!  Mind if I steal a couple of those for my Facebook account?  Love the water crossing shots.  [thumbsup]
