Pics are coming, but today's high was 27.

I did learn something though.

Even if you won't be driving that day, it's a good idea to clear the snow off the windshield.

Apparently, the weather warmed up enough yesterday to melt just a little. Enough to put about 1/2" of solid ICE on the bottom part of my windshield. Had to start the truck (don't worry Nate, I didn't leave the wipers on) and the heat and go back inside for a bit...
...not worried. ;)

A bit of advice...

resist the urge to use boiling water anywhere near the windshield of your car...

regardless of circumstances. ;D

Cute kid BTW.  [thumbsup]

I've heard the bad stories of boiling water and windshields, no worries.

Yep, she's a keeper!

Yes it is.

I remember being up there one winter for a BCM seminar. I woke up at the Red Roof, and the car temp said it was -24. Went to the Eggshell for breakfast and even the wait staff were wearing their parka's. Our "cold" does not compare to yours !

Oz, was that Presidents (or MLK?) weekend in 2003?  If so, I was up in NH that weekend taking the Winter Blues seminar also (was living in NYC at the time).  I've lived here in NH for four years now and the temps haven't dropped as low as they were that weekend in 2003.  I remember it being so cold that I worried if I slipped on the ice I would break into a thousand pieces.  ;)

I know it was before 2004 ( I remember working at another company back then ) so it very well could have been 2003. I think Eric was quite amused at my cold weather shock   :)

That was actually a fun time, I'll have to keep an eye out to see if they have them again.

I can't believe how warm it is today considering last week. Sunday was a lot of fun. We got about 3-4 inches of snow in Trumbull and we had a two hour sledding/snowball fight session with my little ones in the morning before I took them out to get their Xmas gifts for everyone else.

I really enjoy this time of year,,, Not to mention its almost time for the playoffs !!

Yeah, but it's been raining all day, so the "warming up" is kinda moot....

... WINTER STORM WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

AT THIS TIME... THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR SIGNIFICANT ICING... DUE TO FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET... FROM THE FOOTHILLS TO INTERIOR COASTAL COUNTIES... AND HEAVY SNOWFALL OF 6 INCHES OR MORE IN THE MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS... WITH SOME SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN ON THE COAST THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING BEFORE A CHANGE TO RAIN.

HOWEVER... THE EXACT TRACK OF THIS COASTAL STORM REMAINS UNCERTAIN... AND WILL ULTIMATELY DETERMINE WHERE THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ICING AND SNOWFALL WILL OCCUR. IT IS LIKELY THAT TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL BECOME DIFFICULT BY LATE THURSDAY AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING.
