Well, I want to come out from south Louisiana for DITR. Closer than either DIMBY, and ya'll have MOUNTAINS! (which I love). What are the temps like in August?

Could be hot, most likely rain, possibly snow, usually sun, hard to tell!

And I am being serious.

Much more comfortable than Louisiana...  Guar-un-teed.  ;D

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Can dates be put to a poll?  Late July, early August right now works best for me.

Oh and Munch, I know a guy who does great work and reasonable for painting if you want to go that route.... plus he owns a Duc and he's Italian:)

I think the consensus is the second weekend in August.

I will call up the hotels next week after my return from vacation.

You're considering this trip a "vacation"?  I think we have a communication problem.  You've met my family and you know the schedule my sister and mom have for everyone, right?

As far as 2nd week of Aug. are you talking the w/end that includes the 8th?    The AMA is having a women's conf. / weekend of riding in Keystone (note to any of you single and looking boys out there).  Chicks on bikes Aug. 19th-22nd.   If you're talking the 2nd FULL w/end of Aug (meaning the week before the AMA event), then I'm likely out of the DITR.
