I'm in Ottawa for work, for roughly three weeks it's looking like.

It is -35 degrees right now.

The only thing keeping me going is the thought of the wings down at smoke eaters (formerly Cluck U).

I'm fairly sure the sauce on their hottest wings can etch cement.

I want some. I NEED some.

Anyone care to join? I was thinking the 25th or so.

Also, this place is in Santa Clara, so yes, it is a hike, but it's worth it.

Can't get to Santa Clara for wings, but I just have to empathize after spending 4 years in MAINE for college.  Freeze your nose hairs cold.  Stay warm.
My hovercraft is full of eels.

Cluck U wings are great!  The hottest sauce is semi addicting because once you stop eating it hurts... so you just have to keep eating them

ps
they burn on the way out too    :P

Yeah-even eating ice cream doesn't help, thus disproving my parents who always claimed "It all goes to the same place" when I picked through my food.

I was stationed in Maine for 3 years.  Winters are brutal, but there's no place I'd rather be in the summer.  Now that I'm thinking about it, I think I'll take my once-every-two-years vacation there.

Stationed at Brunswick NAS by any chance?

I'm not too far from there and yet, I've never been.  Let me know. I'm down for going.  I have yet to do anything with anyone from this site.

At least you can catch the Capitals play the Senators on the 20th.  When in Canada, you have to watch hockey:

And for being cold, I too was in Maine - for boarding school.  I was in Bath right by the Iron Works.  I did a weekend camping trip where it got to -60 with the wind chill. This was in 93-94...  Most of my toes and fingers aren't frozen anymore.

I'm anti-hockey. Only thing one should put on ice is find liquor.  :P

But yeah, wing night should still be on.

NSGA Winter Harbor.  It wasn't the end of the world, but you could see it from there.

I spent a decade in Vermont.

I've seen -40 (the magic temperature where F and C meet)

There's a reason I live in California.

I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

I'm thinking Saturday is an excellent day to eat myself sick. I should be down there around 7.
