Fork Valve replacement

I didn`t get a chance to contact Race tech but I wanted to know when the fork valves are replaced is there two or one? On the Race tech web site they only list compression valves. These are for a set of SBK forks someone is giving me to put on my 750.

one in each fork leg, and it isn't so much a 'replacement' as an addition. unless i'm mistaken, the std forks are
'damping rod' forks, and the race tech conversion has you drill out the damping holes to take them out of
the picture, and put this little spring loaded valve on top of the rod. I did this to another of my bikes (BMW F650)
and it made a world of difference. Can't do my duc, i have marsuccy (marzocci) forks. :-(

do it, you won't regret it. i promise!

thats only true for the lower end forks. one side is a real fork, the other is just a rod. I think its the left one. on the higher end forks, its 2 valves. one in each.

In SBK forks, there's a compression valve in each fork leg.

RaceTech *may* have rebound valves, I've never asked them about it.

FYI
Superbike forks have good valves already no need to valve them.

I sometimes re-stack valves in superbikes but no need to change 1 good valve for another. the rebound valves are also good.

re-spring the forks set the oil level and ride! [moto]

Thank I was going to just do the springs and oil first since I am getting them for free so it is a minimum investment besides milling the top triple. I have heard to use a lighter weight oil w/ the stock valves because they do not flow as much oil as the "upgraded valves". When  I call Racetech or Traxxion dynamics to order the springs will they tell me what and how much oil to put in. Which springs are better? I am going to install them myself. I have most of the tools already, I enjoy doing this stuff, and am more than able to perform this operation. I have watched a few how to`s on it and it seams pretty simple. Maybe a PITA but not too difficult.

superbike valves will flow 90% of what a "upgraded" valve will so unless you are trying to alter damping due to a PROBLEM i WOULD NOT SWITCH..... Damn caps lock [bang]

The best reason to change the oil will be due to you going to a lighter spring you do not need the extra damping for the heavy springs.
