Spring restart

So I pulled the battery on my 08 S2R 1k last fall, now what is the procedure for starting it this spring. Is it put battery back in and turn key? or do I have to use the red key and some special steps?

I don't think you will need the red key.  You might have to top off the battery on a charger though.

With my '00, all I had to do was make the connection and turn the key. But now I hear all these horror story's of peoples bikes not starting. Ones after 02'. Anyway, I do keep the battery on a tenderizer so Hopefully I am good to go. Thanks
