So I broke my Thermistor on my monster.  It is the oil temp sensor in front of the oil mesh filter screen.  So I replaced it with a new one and now my temperatures are off.  When I start the bike it reads 121 and then just goes on up from there.    After my bike got up to temperature it was 300 or so.  Is there a way to reset this?

Double/triple check the part nmbr. Thermistors come in a infinite resistance ranges and I suspect ducati has a bunch of different ones. Stop by your local Duc shop and ask to test one of there's on your bike.    Easy to check by simply plugging the sensor in without installing it in the motor.  If that all works out suspect the wiring. After that it probably the cluster.

well you hit the nail on the head.
I checked the parts catalog again and had the correct number.
Checked my invoice again and it has the correct number.
Checked the little Ducati baggy it came in, wrong number.

Looks like I get to drain out my new oil, put the correct thermistor in, then fill her back up. yay  :P
