I'm somewhat new to suspension rebulds/disassembly having only done a fork oil change and spring installation on my fully adjustable USD forks.

I'm in the process of taking them apart and have a question as a result:

To remove the cartridge everything I have read indicates that you undo the allen srcrew in the bottom of the fork. unfortunately I have an adjuster screw (for a standard screwdriver) and a nut. Should I just back out the "bolt" with the adjuster untouched?

Thank s in advance

I always backed the compression adjuster out, but first you need to screw it in to determine its current setting, then back it all the way out
if you've already removed the spring and fork cap, your probably going to need a way to hold the cartridge from spinning when your removing that bolt.

If you have a small air gun, it'll spin it right out.

Thanks for the info.

I'll put the impact gun on it. Figured it was that easy but thought it better to check
