749/999 Wheel Swap

The way I understand it, all of the 25mm axle wheels are basically interchangeable.

Aside from having to get proper brake rotors and sprocket, what obstacles may I have to overcome to install some 999 10-spokes on my 2006 Sport Classic?

You may have to space your calipers/rotors.

I'm not sure if the offset is the same on the rotors.

Don't know about the rear, but I'm pretty sure the offset on the front is different. Either way I'm getting a new set of Braking rotors from Eric. When I'm done, the forks, rotors, and wheel will all be 749/999 parts. Calipers, too, if I can swing it. The offset from the triples will be the only thing I see maybe posing problems.

What exactly is the preferred method of spacing on the front wheel? Between wheel and rotor or between caliper and fork?

One piece shims as opposed to separate washers/spacers...or machining depending on which way you need to go.

so does anybody know for sure then if there are other parts needed to swap wheels then or not?
