Just moved to porland oregon and decided I dident need a car.

sold the car, bought an 06 S2R 800.

before that I had a 79 vespa p200e, a 79 honda cb 650 bike that I Cafed out and then sold and bought an 80 kawasaki kz 650.

so I kinda lept 26 years into the future. dual disks, electric start its pretty crazy.

Planned mods are; steering dampner, lowered gauges/headlight, clip-ons, doing something to the belt cover, maybe a long bellypan to cover the midpipe, power commander and removing the side panals. After that I can start thinking about suspension, rear sets, powder coating headlight swaps and all of the rest of the things that this terrible addiction does to us.

basically, I want to black out and simplify the body of the bike and then deck out the engine with CF and assorted go fast bits.

Welcome. Nice list of mods planned.

If it were me I'd do the suspension first.

Where did you move from?

I was living up in Seattle last year and rode down to the PDX to meet up with the local Ducatisti and check out MotoCorsa.  Yes, very cool shop!!  TONS of riding around there too!  The NW weather got me though.   :-\   I findmyself actually missing it though.  I'd try Portland if I go back up that way again!

the list is based on available funds.  If I had a better income it would go handling, performance, aesthetics.

There's a lot of us in Portland. Check out the local Northwest board. Here's a link: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=27.0

Stop in and say hi!

Welcome!

Looks like someone already upgraded those brakes.  That is the 320mm upgrade kit..I have the same ones.  The s2r 800 came with 300mm brake rotors and the calipers were black.  That is a $650.00 kit. Enjoy it [beer]
