got my bike back Saturday from AMS and now the bike wont idle right.  Jeremy said they set everything back to factory specs.  It idles below a grand even at 180 degrees and quits unless I run it chocked a little.  Has anyone experienced this after their 6000 service?  It was ideling perfect before it went into the shop.

I do plan on calling AMS tomorrow.

Input?  Thanks

they *HATE* power commanders.  i would imagine you'll need to try reloading your map that you had on it previously...assuming you have it saved somewhere.

I've never had any problems on any I've had installed with any bike.

If they reset the actual throttle position (probably did do an adjustment at 6K)
-the output (in millivolts) of the throttle position sensor will change...

***This is normal.***

You probably need to reset the TPS in the powercommander like you should have when you first installed it.
It needs to know where the new "zero point" is.

Oh yeah, cheesecake with a good coffee... Yum [thumbsup]

Do you like the cream cheese cheesecake, or are you more of a fruity guy?

Cream cheese, of course!  [bacon]
The "Rasberry Chocolate Truffle" Cheese Cake Factory one I brought to your place the other weekend was an experiment...
I thought it was better frozen -once thawed it was to 'fluffy'

Fluffy?  [puke]  Cheesecake should weigh like a brick!

I think I'll pick up another one today now that I think about it (I'll try "CARAMEL PECAN TURTLE" this time  [bacon] )

Thanks Rich.

No problem.  [thumbsup]
I think it just takes a mini-USB cable and the software (downloadable from the PC Site if you lost the disk that came with the PC)
Yes: AMS Hates the PC.  They won't (I don't think) touch one on a tuneup/service -so you have to do "your part" too.   :-\
If you still have problems after that load up a 'zero' map (effectively disabling the PC) and bring it back to AMS...  :'(

Off subject just a little bit, but why the hell does Jeff Nash and associates hate Power Commanders so damn much?? What the hell did Dyno Jet ever do to him? Were they once sponsors of his race team that screwed him over?? Is it personal? Did they get into a bar fight at Daytona one year? Why does everyone else on the planet seem to get along fine with Dyno Jet and their Power Commanders and not AMS? Did they say something anti-New Zealand or make drunken Kiwi jokes at a party? What is up with that?????

no worries Brian, it's already been hijacked by two others.

And yes, I'd like to know how come this is also.

I asked Jeff about the PC3 back in early 2007 when I had my M620 in the shop for tuning.  I remember he didn't like the piggy-back system reliability.  It's hard to remember details from the conversation from back then

Dax, does your S2R have an O2 sensor?

nope
still wondering what reliability factor he's talking about though.  so many sold and I for one have had no issues.

IMO, it's probably some technical aspect that the lay-person wouldn't care about, but somebody that's as discerning as Jeff with Ducati tuning might be.

??? but my guess is as good as yours why AMS doesn't like them

But I don't doubt the quality of their service.  I've used them for my M620 services (12k and dyno tune) and my 848 (600, dyno tune, and 7.5k)  No problems whatsoever

YMMV

i always just assumed it was as simple as him wanting to sell more DP ECUs...  but that doesn't make sense for lots of people, like me, that don't have that kind of $$ to sink into their bike, especially if you're just doing something like coring your cans, eliminating the udder, and opening the airbox.
