There is also Nikwash, made specifically for waterproof fabric.  You probably don't need to wash the rain fly, just the tent itself.  Alternatively, you could set a bait pile away from your campsite to keep the bears away from the yummy lobster tent.  ;D
2000 Monster 900Sie, a few changes
1992 900 SS, currently a pile of parts.  Now running
flogged successfully  NHMS  12 customized.  Twice.   T3 too.   Now retired.

just read a fatality report from last summer  :-\

Isn't there a spray repellant like "Grizz B Gone" you could use?    [laugh]    Sry.

I love the author's written account on the bear sighting report on page 41 & 42.   [thumbsup]

You'll be fine out there in grizz country, really. As long as you're a faster runner than the person next to you.   ;)

i don't know why i read that report... rather horrifying to say the least  :-\
strange how there were 2 deaths in 2011 by grizzlies in YNP but only like 9 since the 70's
if i read correctly, the same bear was involved, and they transported her far away

but anywayz... it's cocktail hour  [wine]

Got Duc

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.
