It was kind of cool working with the Tailgate latch. The whole unit comes out and I took it in and put it on the bench. After i had things cleaned and oiled and greased, it operated sort of like a gun. When I would pull on the release the catch woul just snap open with a "snick" and it would close nice and easy with two "snicks"
