Warm...40...and wet.

Supposed to get to almost 60 today.

it's wet here too today, and supposed to be for the rest of the week
april showers are behind schedule, but acceptable since they do bring may flowers
(and black flies in your case)

Yup.  Was all gone by halfway thru an extremely busy Monday  :-\.

coming back from a vacay is the pits...
unless you like working more than you like vacationing
but i know no one who does, so  :-\

True.  But its fun while its fun.  I've got better at the post-vacation blues.  As I have also with the Sunday evening blues.

No point being miserable that the circus is gonna end, coz it is gonna end.  Just gotta go do whats gotta be done to pay for more Big Top later.

More Ning, All. [coffee]

A very balmy 8° right now, but it appears to be a cloudless sky.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Ning.  I love coffee. That is one good reason to live in Seattle.  Walking 15 minutes in any direction from my condo will get me to over 30 coffee shops  [coffee]  [thumbsup]

Otherwise, not feeling Seattle much this week. I hope to move this summer. I might need a roommate.
Or a temporary place...
Wonder what Travis is up to!

Morning.

Will fire up the coffee soon.  Stayed up later than normal doing paperwork things.  Yuck.

Have a good day/night.

Later   :)

8°F  ???

That breeze, it felt like it could have been K.

But the sun is shining!

waiting for a call back from a Cali archivist....looking up my G-G-grandfather to see if he ever served any of his 10 year sentence at San Quentin....

convicted of arson  in 1901 for burning down a barn that he sold to a Chinaman..... a barn that he did not own to begin with

allegedly to fund his "addiction to liquor" so goes the article

I think he talked his way out of it on appeal but hopefully will know soon if he was an alumnus of that illustrious institution of lower education

Sounds interesting. I wonder what kind of trouble my forefathers were up to...

RAT900

old g-g grandpa left a shit streak halfway across America, crossed the Plains in 1862 landed in Cali Gold Country and kept a steady stream of articles about himself in the news until 1923

he was actually a gifted writer, newspaperman himself and used his gift for writing to orchestrate many cons and swindles...

there is much accomplishment in my family

there are 3 ways my last name got here:

I know it's been said or eluded to before but a history book about your family would be a best seller.   ;)

Not much known about my family.  I always have a good stumper for people.  Surprisingly only one friend has immediately figured this one out:

I'm half dutch and half irish with an Italian last name.  Never married.  How does the last name figure out?
