Evening.  Somewhat back to a "normal" work schedule here.

Have worked 14 of the last 15 days with many 12-18 hour days in the last 7.  Glad the longest are behind me.  Eating even somewhat healthy was fruitless.  Literally. 

Going to load up the furfaces for a trip to Durango, CO over the weekend but get some quick work related meetings thrown in there on Friday & Monday.  We need a break from the city.

Zero chance of bike shopping over next few weekends too but it's not like I'm bored or anything.   ;)

aging parental story:

80 y/o mom told last week that she has some seriously thick cataracts and shouldn't be driving until she gets them removed (next month). 

Her DL expires this week meaning she (sister's) are up a creek if she can't drive.  (Or if she does drive â€" which she would â€" and a worst case scenario happens then everyone's up a creek.) 

With the DL renewal comes the vision test that we're assuming she'll fail.  Sister #2 was prepping her the other day for not being able to drive for about a month (to job, to grandkids events, around town w/her blinker on and gas cap flap open)


Mom:  "Your know what? I think that guy <her OPHTHALMOLOGIST> doing the eye exam screwed up!  I think he had two screens up at the same time, that's why it was so IZ_ and I couldn't read it." 

Sister laughing: "no mom, he had one screen up"

Mom:  "I think he screwed up!"

11 y/o nephew passing by:  "oh no Grams, we were in the room , it was clear, you just couldn't see it." 

She dropped it.   [roll]    [laugh]
