We are having unseasonably warm weather this week in West Texas. Our temps are in the mid eighties which caused me to want a new mesh jacket for warm riding.

Newenough.com is located about ten miles from my home in Shallowwater, Texas.  I took a look at their clearance pages and found a Vanson Mesh Jacket with an Italian Tricolor leather stripe. Here's the URL for that jacket:

I drove out to Newenough and tried on the jacket and found that it fit pretty well.  The jacket has the most open mesh that I have seen and should provide the best air flow of any mesh jacket I've tried.  It also has acceptable armor in the spine, elbows, and shoulders and a very light perforated liner.  It will not work for frosty  mornings in the mountains without an added layer.

The tricolor stripe will look nice with my S4Rs Tricolore but the jacket is certainly not good looking like a high end Dainese. But I don't resemble an Italian male model so I guess that's okay. It does have an adjustable waist.

The jacket is black but I think that will be irrelevant considering the size of the mesh. Previously I have preferred silver or white jackets for the hot sun. I anticipate that a bandana will be necessary to cover the back of my neck.

Newenough has a good selection of sizes and I think everyone is familiar with their business and reputation.  Take a look if you ride in hot weather.

thanks for the tip. I'm pretty happy with the RevIt Air that I picked up, and it wasn't much more than the Vanson at New ENough. Have you had a chance to check that jacket out? It might be more what you're talking about.
