I received THAT call from the dealership  ;D. First impressions are excellent. The bike weighs very little, it dives into corners with the littlest provocation - those Pilot Power 2CT 190-55 may have something to do with this. The bike is physically large, it´s uber adjustable so I´ll get to that tomorrow. That clock unit needs a week training course in itself. Suspension is very plush.. soft yet firm and absorbs the bumps very well.

I thought the Monster Rs had good brakes.. flippin´ hell!! This bike has the best brakes I´ve ever come across.

The bike is (obviously) being stringently run-in. I can only get up to 4000rpm for the first 500km so that´s 120km/h (75mph).. I´ll post up a real ride report soon.

Some pics, hope you like em.

Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

Thats a gorgeous machine, just a little outta my price range, but sexy as hell!
All my best ideas get me into trouble.

I am reminded of the immortal words of Socrates when he said, 'I drank what?!'

Some people are like Slinkies ... Not really good for anything..... But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Hell, it might as well be a Ducati.  If it weren't for the horizontal cylinders, I would've bet you money that Terblanche had a hand in it.

ANd, I mean that in a good way - your bike is gorgeous.

Love it - although something needs to be done with that rear tail light/license plate holder....

Thanks guys.. I´m finally in love with another bike after my S4Rs. Very happy now indeed, I´ve only had it a few hours though  [laugh]

Here is a dyno graph stolen from Motociclismo magazine - May 2008 - 1098 vs RC8 vs RSV1000R vs HP2 Sport. Check out that torque curve!!

That´s one of my favorite bits of the bike - it looks much better in person.

Something like that.. there are 3 in Madrid from what I understand plus 2 that were used in the "Master Bike" test (on loan from BMW Germany), i decided on the bike after I sat on these bikes and had a chance to start them up and to fiddle around with the "cockpit"
