Just out of curiosity, how would you compare the 796 to your previous 696? Some "old" Monster people here might find that "illuminating". 8)

Nice looking bike, BTW...  ;)

Thx!

I love it but I have a few issues, seating position is a bit off (even though I've switch seats), making it slightly less comfortable - haven figured out how to fix it yet.  Suspension seems off - this is probably specific to me, getting it adjusted next week and we'll see.  Power is great and it's much prettier :)

What seat have you got on there now? Do you have an inseam problem? I fitted Tech Spec tank pads on mine which help at low speeds. I'm 5' 8" with a 29" inseam.  http://gallery.leica-users.org/d/282951-1/Rt_-Above.jpg

Not a good idea Dexter, the problem is that as a motorcycle rider, and a soon to be 1100evo owner (congrats on that!) once you've been to the land of eternal sunshine and nirvana for riders, getting on the plane to go back home is the hardest thing you can do.

I lived in NorCal over 20 years ago and I miss Cali everyday. If my wife and our family would move I'd be back there in a New York minute. Especially when it's 20 degrees in February, my Ducs in the garage and the only racing to watch on the TV is taped MotoGP from last year.

Yeah I have always heard that.  I have an aunt that lives is Sacramento.  She grew up here in MI and she swears she will never come back.  Also have friends in Arcadia.  I am going to have to go out there!!!   8)

I tried the stock seat then picked up the low profile one.  Recently I put on the Rizoma rizers (the small ones, which actually lower, not rise).  Still an issue.  For some reason it feels like I'm stretched out more than usual which is odd since the specs are so similar to the 696.  Going to try rotating the bars a bit next or even installing risers that rise...
