South West of Western Australia. Hard to get to, for you.

One of the more interesting roads, although like most of them, not one to push on.

I grew up on the east coast of Australia, southern part, which is a paradise for bikes by comparison. Came to this side for two years, been here now for 15. Whole different riding experience, much flatter, much bigger. But pockets of pleasure and beauty are there for the finding. And traffic commonly sparse. Has its compensations.

Do I wish for a bigger fuel tank? You bet.

Let's do it. Dunno about rocket along, but I reckon my DR is the perfect tool for the task (just need to go back to the 32 litre fuel tank).

Not exactly the "wild" but with all the snowbirds in South Florida, it IS pretty wild out here.






There are a lot of negatives about South Florida - high cost of living, hurricanes, snowbirds in the winter, Spanglish...but if there is one redeeming quality is riding weather almost year round.  Yesterday was a beautiful day - crisp, 75 degrees and a beautiful sunset.  I had to take Gossamer to celebrate 7300 miles.  Sorry my northerner friends...wish you were here.

Till you hit hurricane/rainy season and it rains just about every day.  

Add to that the heat and humidity. No A/C in a leather jacket, at the very least...ouch!

And the roads are all straight.

The closest thing you might get to a winding road is a highway on ramp or maybe Old Griffin Road, heading toward A1A.



Sorry, just ragging on South Florida.

I'm from there, some people love it.....

Thanks! Was an...interesting ride-5 miles steep uphill ride at ~5-10 mph thanks to the really deep gravel (that doesn't show here) on the road.  Had to pull over twice to keep from overheating
