Yeah, the time was ripe for mischief making (that happens so rarely around here, you really have to be on your game to seize the momnet, as it were).   Next week, though, who knows what the avatar will be...

b.b.

Thank you for the welcome notes. Sorry to take so long getting back to everyone, but work tends to get in the way of more interesting activities.

Charles actually rescued me from languishing in the apparently deceased MSM Ducati group. Thank you CDC!  ;D

My birthday is August, but the wife’s is September.

My 848 was called “cute” when I met Randy, since he’s a superbike guy.
But what I heard was…
“Man, you are one pathetic loser. No offense.” â€" Lloyd
None was taken..

I was in the Air Force, stationed at Yokota just outside of Tokyo, and Kadena in Okinawa. I spent 4 years at each location. It was a great experience for many reasons.

The riding was fantastic. Outside of the metro-area, there are plenty of great roads to ride. While in traffic, drivers watched for you and respected your space.

No track days this month, for the same reason it took so long to reply. I work for the Railroad and it’s a 24/7 operation. I do most of my riding during the week. If anyone else has an odd schedule or excess free time let me know.

This group has dubbed the white 848 a "white unicorn" so I guess that's cute too, but it's a beast on the track.  I just need to learn how to ride it harder out there.

One of my best friends (1st LT last I recall) was stationed out in Yakota for 4 years as well.  He just got back stateside just over a year ago.  I'm not sure if you guys spanned the same timeframe, but it is a small world.

yes, and just like in the legends, only the purest of mind, and especially of body, can tame the unicorn!!
